After Tova gets injured during one of the cleanings, Cameron Kasmore, a 30-year-old man who lives in a trailer, replaces her.
Cameron has had a tough life. His drug-addicted mother abandoned him, and he grew up with his aunt. He didn't finish high school and struggled to hold down a job. His financial situation is dire. When his life partner throws him out of the house, Cameron decides to go on a journey to find his biological father.
He borrowed money from his aunt and traveled to the coastal town of Swell Bay.
Fate brings Tova, Cameron, and Marcellus together.
The story in the episodes alternates between the past and the present and between the perspectives of the three main characters – Tova, Cameron, and Marcellus.
