לדעתי, זוהי הפקה הראשונה בשפה העיברית של סטוריטל ואיזה ביצוע יפיפה. רק על הביצוע מגיע להם 5 כוכבים מנצנצים. אחד מספרי השמע המושקעים ביותר שיצא לי לחוות בתקופה האחרונה. יחד עם זאת העלילה בינונית מאוד והלוואי שהיתה מצדיקה כזו הפקה יוקרתית ואיכותית.

אנה ואריק נפגשים בבית מלון בשבדיה לאנשים עשירים שמבודדים מהקהילה. זוהי תקופה מתעתעת שבה וירוס אלים משתלט על האנושות וגובה ממנה קורבנות רבים. קבוצות מיליטנטיות משתלטות על הרחובות ועל הבתים ואנשים נחטפים, חלקם מוצאים להורג, בתים נבזזים ורכוש נהרס. ונדליזם והרס שוררים בכל.

בית המלון הוא בועה, עם חוקים וכללים. לכל דייר ישנו לוח זמנים שבו הוא אוכל, מטייל, משתמש במתקני המלון. לדיירים אסור להיפגש, אסור להפר את הכללים אחרת הם בסכנת הרחקה לתחנה המרכזית.

אנה פוגשת את אריק במקרה. זוהי שעת ארוחת הערב שלו. היא מגיעה למטבח לחפש אוכל והוא בדיוק נכנס לשם לחפש משהו שיגוון את המזון החדגוני.

היא מתפוצצת בזעם עליו על שהפר את הכללים, למרות שלמעשה זו היא שעתה את זה.

אט אט נרקם בין אנה ואריק קשר חם ותומך. קשר אנושי שמלבלב. בהתחלה באמצעות מכשיר קשר. אחר כך באמצעות מצלמת הפלאפון ולבסוף גם פנים מול פנים. במהלך העלילה סיפורם של האנשים הבודדים נחשף והם מתקרבים מתוך צורך אנושי.

ישנן מספר בעיות בעלילה, אחת מהן העובדה שהוא מאוד שיטחי באשר לעולם החיצוני והאירועים החיצוניים. האיום של הגליה ל"תחנה המרכזית" כל כך מגוחך שלא יכלתי לעצור בעצמי וגילגלתי את עיניי. גם הפחד הלא מוסבר שלהם מהנגיף עומד לרועץ. הסופרים סומכים על תחושת הפחד של הציבור מוירוס הקורונה, אבל בסופו של דבר וירוס הקורונה לא השמיד את האנושות וגם הוירוס בסיפור הזה לא משמיד אותה, אלא בני אדם ונדליסטים, קבוצות קיצוניות שמשתלטות על המרחב הפרטי והציבורי.

חלקים מהסיפור מתייחסים למקצוע של אנה ושל אריק. היא רופאה לשעבר, הוא כומר לשעבר ובהווה. שניהם נטשו את יעודם על מנת להתחבא בבית מלון מבודד שיגן על חייהם. נכון, הם מנמקים את הבחירה שלהם, אבל היא נשמעת כל כך רדודה וקלישאתית ובסופו של דבר היא תירוץ לפחד.

ולבסוף, הסוף הידוע מראש שיכלתי לנחש מקילומטרים.

יחד עם זאת זו באמת אחת מההפקות הכי טובות שיצא לי לשמוע. במקביל ישנו הספר שהאפליקציה עוקבת אחר הקריינות בטקסט וזה ממש חוויה נפלאה. חבל לי שהייתי צריכה לדרג אותו רק ב – 3 כוכבים.

I believe that Storital's first production in Hebrew is a beautiful performance. Their execution deserves five sparkling stars. It is one of the most engaging audiobooks I have experienced recently. However, I must admit that the plot is very average, and I wish it could have justified such a prestigious and high-quality production.

Anna and Eric meet at an exclusive hotel in Sweden designed for wealthy individuals who prefer isolation from the community. Unfortunately, they find themselves amid a dangerous and chaotic time as a violent virus wreaks havoc on humanity, claiming countless lives. Various militant groups take over the streets and homes, resulting in kidnappings, executions, looting, and property destruction. The situation is dire, with vandalism and destruction rampant throughout the area.

The hotel operates like a closed system with strict rules and regulations. Every tenant is assigned a specific schedule for meals, travel, and use of the hotel facilities. They are prohibited from interacting with one another or violating the established rules, as doing so may result in deportation to the central station.

Anna and Eric meet coincidentally in the kitchen during his dinner time. She is searching for food while he is looking for something to liven up his monotonous meal.

She gets angry with him for breaking the rules even though she created them.

As Anna and Eric communicate with each other through a walkie-talkie, they begin to develop a supportive and warm bond. Over time, their communication methods evolve from the walkie-talkie to using cell phone cameras and finally meeting face to face. Both individuals' backgrounds and personal stories are revealed throughout the novel, bringing them closer due to their human need for connection.

There are several issues with the plot of the story. One of the significant issues is the shallow portrayal of external events and the world around the characters. The threat of the Galia to the "central station" is portrayed as ridiculous and caused me to roll my eyes. Moreover, the characters' inexplicable fear of the virus is about to peak. The writers seem to be relying on the public's fear of the COVID-19 pandemic, but in reality, the virus did not destroy humanity, and in the story, it does not destroy society. Instead, it is the human vandals and extremist groups who take over both private and public spaces and cause destruction."

Anna and Eric are the protagonists in the story. Anna used to be a doctor, and Eric is a former and current pastor. They have left their respective professions and hide in an isolated hotel to protect their lives. However, their reasons for doing so seem shallow and clichéd, and ultimately, their decision to hide is driven by fear.

I could predict the inevitable outcome from a distance, and it finally happened.

This production is one of the best I have ever heard. The app follows the text's narration, making the experience even more extraordinary. However, it's unfortunate that I had to give it a 3-star rating.
