נורה, סופרת ותסריטאית של ספרי רומנטיקה, כותבת ספר על הזוגיות הכושלת שלה עם גרושה. הספר הופך לתסריט ואז לסרט בכיכובו של ליאו וואנס, השחקן שהוכרז כשחקן הסקסי ביותר.

נורה ושני ילדיה, זוכים לארח את הקאסט של הסרט בביתם. אפילו חלק מהסרט מצולם בבקתה שמאחורי ביתם וכך הם זוכים להכיר את השחקן האגדי והסקסי בשר ודם.

נורה היא אישה רגילה מהפרברים, שספגה חבטה מהחיים. כל זוהר הכוכבים הזה מסחרר אותה, במיוחד כשהיא מבלה עם ליאו על המרפסת שלה כל בוקר בזריחה בשתיקות משמעותיות.

ואז ליאו מבקש מנורה להשכיר את הביקתה שמאחורי ביתה לשבועיים נוספים לאחר שמסתיימת הסרטת הסרט.הם מצליחים להתקרב וגם הילדים מתקרבים לליאו וכל אבק הכוכבים הזה מתפזר בכל השכונה כשליאו מלווה את נורה לקניות בסופר, או לאירועים חברתיים של הילדים או סתם לאסוף אותם מבית הספר.

Nora, a romance writer, turns her failed marriage into a movie starring Leo Vance, the sexiest actor alive.

Nora and her two children host the film's cast in their home. A part of the movie is also filmed in the cabin behind their house. This allows them to meet the legendary and attractive actor in person.

Nora, a suburban woman, was dealt a blow from life. The starlit mornings on her balcony with Leo leave her breathless amid meaningful silences.

After the movie's filming concludes, Leo asks Nora to rent the cabin behind her house for two more weeks. During this time, Leo and Nora become closer, and the children also develop a bond with Leo. Leo's stardom spreads throughout the neighborhood as he accompanies Nora to the supermarket, the children's social events, and even when he picks them up from school.

Only God and Leo know what magic he finds in dreary suburban life. But he sees it and stays there for about a month, where they have an affair until he goes to a new location for a new movie he is participating in. At first, they keep in touch, but then life gets the better of them, and the distance grows, and Leo disappears from Nora's horizon. She remains in her boring life, quite heartbroken.

The concept of this book is absurd, challenging our inclination to believe in fairy tales. The story revolves around a wealthy, attractive man who actively seeks out the company of a divorced, financially struggling woman with two children and a scar from her previous marriage.

The plot could have been better if they had avoided miscommunication, talked to each other, and clarified things. But I found it hard to believe that they could still develop a romantic relationship after nine months of no communication. The cliché idea of a knight in shining armor never appealed to me.

The book has a smooth flow, although the characters of Nora and Leo can be a bit annoying. They are both struggling with intimacy for different reasons. Leo, a rich and attractive actor, is forced to lead a secluded life without a family and has never been to a supermarket. On the other hand, Nora wasted her time with a divorcee who turned out to be a complete jerk. Although she's not sorry they broke up, she's frustrated and bitter about how her life hasn't turned out how she wanted it to. Instead of living the exciting plots she writes, she's stuck living a mundane and unfulfilling life.

It was difficult for me to believe in such a relationship, but the plot provides escapism and works if you suspend disbelief and genuinely want to believe in fairy tales.
