The book is about burnout in married life. It explores the impact of a career that affects every aspect of our lives and the power we have to make changes. The characters are described as platonic and stereotypical, and the book is enjoyable but not particularly groundbreaking.
It's not a romantic or historical story. The transitions between Michaela's grandmother and herself are poorly executed.
The book is engaging and easy to read, providing several hours of entertainment.
